
"The kids are alright!"
The poll found that a total of 60 percent of voters between the ages of 18 and 39 approve of Trump’s job performance, including 35 percent who strongly approve and 25 percent who somewhat approve. In the 40 to 64 age group, 34 percent strongly approved and 12 percent somewhat approved for an approval rating of 46 percent. Of those ages 65 and older, 40 percent strongly approved and five percent somewhat approved, for a total approval rating of 45 percent.
Overall, 35 percent of likely voters strongly approved of Trump’s job performance, and 15 percent somewhat approved, for a total approval rate of 50 percent.
More voters in the youngest age grouping also said that the country was heading in the right direction as compared to their two older counterparts, with 54 percent in the 18 to 39 age bracket responding as such. In the 40 to 64 age group, 41 percent said the country was going in the right direction, and in the 65 and older group, 42 percent said it was on the right track.
A total of 45 percent of likely voters said that the country was heading in the right direction, with 50 percent saying it was going in the wrong direction and 5 percent being unsure.
The poll was conducted between February 23 and 27 of 2,033 likely voters and has a margin of error of 2 percent.
In response to the poll, Turning Point USA founder Charlie Kirk wrote, "The next generation wants a country and a future; their parents don’t seem as concerned. The kids are alright!"
