Jeopardy! posted a pre-recorded Thanksgiving message from the late Alex Trebec urging Americans to be thankful in spite of a very tough year for all.
"Happy Thanksgiving ladies and gentlemen. You know, in spite of what America and the rest of the world are experiencing right now, there are many reasons to be thankful," Trebek said.
"There are more and more people extending helpful hands to do a kindness to their neighbors and thats a good thing. Keep the faith, we're going to get through al of this and we will be a better society because of it," he continued.
In the days leading up to Trebek's death he recorded as many episodes of Jeopardy as possible. The last one was recorded on October 29 and is scheduled to air Christmas day, the Daily Mail reported.
The longtime Jeopardy host passed away on November 8, at the age of 80 years old. Trebek announced he was diagnosed with stage 4 pancreatic cancer in March 2019.
