Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez was seen on Instagram on Monday partaking in the latest social media trend of dunking your face in ice water for health and beauty reasons.

In her Instagram story, Ocasio-Cortez wrote: "Ok so no lie I have been very very stressed out lately and today I found myself staying in a stressful mental pattern that was just creating more stress for myself. I wanted to interrupt that."

"Riley and I read previously that dunking your face in a bowl of ice water can be a way of redirecting by forcing your body to top a kind of reset of your parasympathetic nervous system, so I’m going to try it," she continued, with a fingers crossed emoji.

Ocasio-Cortez is seen in her kitchen in front of a bowl of water that previously had ice in it, with boyfriend Riley Roberts filming.

"And yes my kitchen is messy today, deal with it," Ocasio-Cortez added as she dunked her face.

"It gave me a brain freeze," said Ocasio-Cortez after removing her face. "But I must say it worked! Turns out dunking your head into freezing cold ice water is a pretty good way to redirect. Hope this helps someone!"

Ocasio-Cortez’s "stressful" week seemed to be capped off by a segment from Tucker Carlson, in which she accused the primetime Fox News host of "harassment."

In the segment, Carlson talks about a new book called "Take Up Space: The Unprecedented AOC," which he called a "book-length suck up" by the editors of New York Magazine.

"No one has done more personally to degrade American womanhood than Sandy Cortez has. She is living proof that 60 years of feminist liberation did not work," said Carlson. "Sandy Cortez is not empowered, she’s neurotic and silly."

"I genuinely want to know why Tucker Carlson is allowed/paid to engage in clear, targeted, libelous harassment that endangers people &drives so many violent threats that people have to fundraise for their own safety [sic]," said AOC on Twitter. "Why should they have to pay for his harassment? Make it make sense."
