Kyle Rittenhouse's attorneys are moving to sue Democratic presidential nominee Joe Biden for smearing their 17-year-old client in a campaign advertisement against white supremacy.

In a cease and desist letter addressed to the Biden for President Legal Department, Rittenhouse's high-profile attorney, Lin Wood, wrote to "demand that Mr. Biden immediately retract and correct this defamatory impression that he immediately take down the offending video from the Internet."

"There’s no other way to put it: the President of the United States refused to disavow white supremacists on the debate stage last night," Biden captioned the 50-second viral video early Wednesday morning, just a day after the presidential debate when he and moderator Chris Wallace cornered President Donald Trump to condemn right-wing extremism.

A voiceover from the segment—or as Wood described, "gross political rhetoric uttered by Mr. Biden"—overlayed a compilation of imagery depicting violence and disorder presumably committed by "white supremacists." The clip then cut to the fateful night in Kenosha, landing on a screenshot of Rittenhouse with his rifle in-hand. Now the Democratic ticket is facing a libel lawsuit over his tactless juxtaposition.

"The political use of this photo of a 17-year-old boy under attack—and it is undisputed that he only used his weapon in self-defense against multiple attackers—as a prop to advance Mr. Biden's long-denied political ambitions is reprehensible," Wood continued.

#FightBack Foundation, a free speech group that has raised nearly $2 million in funding for Rittenhouse's legal fees, had posted footage that revealed the truth about the Illinois teen accused of fatally shooting two men and injuring another during the Jacob Blake riots in Kenosha, Wisc. Rittenhouse traveled from his home state to Wisconsin in August to protect businesses from looters, acting as a trained volunteer medic.

Tapes demonstrate that Rittenhouse was hunted down by an enraged Black Lives Matter mob. In addition, all three shooting victims possessed extensive criminal histories: the first a registered sex offender, the second a serial domestic abuser, and the third was caught with a gun-related charge.

"Kyle Rittenhouse is a 17-year-old boy facing life in prison based on a false accusation of first-degree murder, despite the fact that publicly available evidence shows beyond any doubt that Kyle acted in self-defense when he was viciously attacked by three criminals," Wood referenced the "Kyle Rittenhouse: The Truth in 11 Minutes" production.

"So people are getting injured," Rittenhouse spoke on camera at the time. "Our job is to protect this business. Part of my job is to help people. If there's somebody hurt, I'm running into harm's way."

Rittenhouse had referred to his rifle as a means of protection, also demonstrating his medical kit strapped to his side.

In one scene, Rittenhouse is shown alerting the public that he is an emergency medical technician. "I am an EMT! Come to me!" he ushered in a hurt individual grasping on two others for physical support.

Wood emphasized that Rittenhouse trekked to Kenosha to "render medical aid—he did not go there to create any violence and he only acted in self-defense."

"Your client," he wrote to Biden's team, "nonetheless acted negligently and recklessly without any regard for the truth by publishing his misleading, false, and defamatory campaign video and besmirching this young man with what is currently the most offensive epithet that can be applied to anyone in civil society merely to achieve tawdry political points on social media." Wood attacked Biden's white supremacy hoax that has been echoed by leftist establishment media.

While defamation is a serious matter, Wood further declared that defamation, by a national political figure, that has been broadcast to more than three million viewers to date is far more egregious.

"But what Mr. Biden has done here goes far beyond merely tortious conduct. He cannot be aware of the moral and legal indefensibility of defamation that directly and materially threatens an American citizen's right to a fair trial—much less on charges of third-degree murder."

"What jury can possibly sit in fair judgement after what Mr. Biden has done to Kyle Rittenhouse?" Wood questioned his client's biased trial in the court of public opinion and subsequent threat to his constitutionally protected right to due process under the Sixth Amendment in the US judicial system.

Moving forward, Wood demanded that Biden remove the active video posted on Twitter, retract his sentiments, and issue a public apology to Rittenhouse. "Govern yourself accordingly," Wood signed off.

The Post Millennial asked counsel Marina Medvin why the Biden-Haris campaign has persisted in this white supremacist fantasy.

"Biden posted the defamatory remark on his Twitter page," Medvin said, "along with that video of Kyle for a reason. The utility of Twitter is to get information across to the public as quickly as possible through expeditious dissemination via retweets. Biden is campaigning off liberal fear of this 'white supremacy' myth their side has concocted as 'the greatest threat to America' in order to scare the constituency into supporting a candidate they might have otherwise ignored as senile and unworthy of their vote."

"Biden and the left know that the only way to motivate their base is to tell tales. And that’s what they did," Medvin said.

"They told a Grimm-style fairytale of a boy...except that boy is Lin Wood's client. And Lin doesn't have patience for 76-year-old politicians picking on 17-year-old boys. So here we are. Lin has made it loud and clear, he will not tolerate the left’s character defamation of conservative children. No more lies. 'Truth will win,' as Lin always says."

On Wednesday, Wood vowed to sue Biden and his presidential campaign for libel in a fiery statement responding to the left-wing propaganda. "I am partisan in 20/20 supporting @realDonaldTrump," he acknowledged. "I am non-partisan trial lawyer who aggressively pursues truth to achieve justice. Put in your hearing aid, Joe. You will hear footsteps."

"When I take @JoeBiden deposition on cross-examination, no wire or computer contact lenses will save him," Wood added at the time. "I will rip Joe into shreds. Ask witnesses who have had the misfortune of sitting across the table from me under oath. You don't mess with my children, my pup, or my clients."
