Biden campaign speech interrupted by 'ceasefire' agitators

"I understand their passion. I’ve been quietly working with the Israeli government to get them to reduce and significantly get out of Gaza," Biden said in response to the protestors.

Pro-Palestinian protestors interrupted Biden’s campaign speech in South Carolina on Monday, demanding a "ceasefire" between Israel and Hamas terrorists.

As Biden was talking about how "the truth is under assault in America," a protestor yelled out, "If you really care about the lives lost here, then you should honor the lives lost and call for a cease-fire in Palestine."

Biden was speaking at Charleston’s Mother Emanuel Church, which was the site of a 2015 shooting in which nine worshippers were fatally shot.

The protestors then broke into a chant of "ceasefire now."

As the group was escorted out, Biden supporters chanted "four more years."

"I understand their passion. I’ve been quietly working with the Israeli government to get them to reduce and significantly get out of Gaza," Biden said in response to the protestors.

The White House has faced increasing calls for a ceasefire, with staffers holding a candlelight vigil outside the building in December, calling on Biden for a ceasefire.

War in the region broke out after the Palestinian terrorist group Hamas launched an invasion of the nation on Oct. 7, killing over 1,200 Israelis.

Josh Paul, a former State Dept official who resigned over the Biden administration's approach to the Israel-Hamas war, read a statement on behalf of the vigil’s organizers, stating: "We demand President Biden and Members of the Cabinet to speak up: call for a permanent ceasefire, a release of all hostages, and an immediate de-escalation now."

Over 700 political appointees and personnel have signed off on a letter urging President Biden to support a ceasefire in the conflict, including employees from over thirty distinct departments and agencies like the FBI and NASA.
