Outside the White House on Wednesday, Joe Biden was questioned about his involvement in a message his son, Hunter Biden, sent to a Chinese business partner demanding payment.

"How involved were you in your son’s Chinese shakedown text message? Were you sitting there? Were you involved?" one reporter asked.

"No, I wasn’t," Biden asked.

When pressed further by the reporter on whether he was involved, Biden shouted, "No."

The message in question was sent on July 30, 2017 from Hunter Biden to CEO and President of Harvest Fund Management Henry Zhao, who has ties to the Chinese Communist Party. The WhatsApp message was obtained by whistleblower Gary Shapley and his team at IRS Criminal Investigation as part of their probe into Hunter Biden.

"I am sitting here with my father and we would like to understand why the commitment made has not been fulfilled," the message read. "Tell the director that I would like to resolve this now before it gets out of hand, and now means tonight. And, Z, if I get a call or text from anyone involved in this other than you, Zhang, or the chairman, I will make certain that between the man sitting next to me and every person he knows and my ability to forever hold a grudge that you will regret not following my direction. I am sitting here waiting for the call with my father."

The message was released as part of a Congressional interview with IRS agent Gary Shapley, who alleged that the Department of Justice interfered in the Hunter Biden probe.
