A record 80 million plus people have voted for presidential candidate Joe Biden, making him the candidate in history to receive the most votes for president.
This figure shatters the previous record held by Barack Obama in the elections which took place in 2008, in which approximately 69.5 million people voted for him.
Current President Donald Trump actually holds second place in this category, since close to 74 million people voted for him, which is also significantly higher than Obama's previous total, according to local news outlet KHOU-11.
Overall voter participation in this last election, held on November 3, was also at an all-time high, clocking in at over 70 percent.
Incredibly, at this late date, there still is no official vote result, due to numerous legal challenges on the part of the Trump campaign based on allegations of serious electoral fraud.
These lawsuits make the final outcome of the election still unclear, due to the fact that the vote tallies were so close in several key battleground states.
