After former President Donald Trump took his message to over 80,000 voters in Wildwood, New Jersey, President Biden revealed plans to host fundraisers with Hollywood elites this summer.

In a video from NBC's Meet the Press, Host Kristen Welker and NBC White House correspondent Monica Alba discussed the president's challenges with diminishing support and how they will combat the diminishing "cash advantage" held by the DNC.

Alba said, "For a long time the Democrats and the DNC have had the cash advantage." She noted, "That's about to look very different for Republicans with former President Trump and the RNC, now that he has clinched the nomination, they can fundraise differently."

Alba went on to suggest that the Biden camp was preparing to use "star power" to boost its efforts to raise money.

"They are going to be doing a big fundraiser with George Clooney, Julia Roberts, and former President Obama in mid-June, In Los Angeles," she revealed.

The Biden administration believes that the big money raised at those events will help them "build infrastructure, open offices, hire key staff, run ads in those key battleground states," Alba explained. She also pointed to the young people protesting the president's handling of the Israel-Hamas war as critical votes to win over.

However, while Biden and the Democrats look to the elites for money, The Trump campaign has hosted massive rallies in states across the country, which have helped local economies. This was the case Saturday, as former President Trump was in Wildwood, New Jersey, and spoke to a crowd estimated between 80,000 to 100,000 people.

Local business owners said the crowd size was comparable to "Fourth of July, Labor Day weekend, and Memorial Day weekend all packed into one.”

"This is such a boost to start paying bills, paying my Cisco bill, my food, my liquor bills. This was a big big help," owner Sean Doughtery said.

Mayor Ernie Troiano noted, "Any time that you can have a president or a candidate for president come to your community, it's a win-win." He added, "It's an economic feast for the businesses."
