President Joe Biden’s personal physician was revealed to have met with a Parkinson’s disease expert earlier this year, White House visitor logs have shown. The report comes as Biden continues to be dogged by questions over his health and age.

Dr. Kevin O’Connor, who is Biden’s doctor, met with Dr. Kevin Cannard, a Parkinson's disease expert from Walter Reed Medical Center, earlier this year. The meeting took place in January at the White House residence clinic and included Dr. John Atwood, a cardiologist at Walter Reed, according to visitor logs reviewed by the New York Post. A fourth person was present at the meeting but remains unidentified.

Dr. Cannard, who has been at Walter Reed for nearly 20 years and is an expert on Parkinson's disease, has served as the "neurology specialist supporting the White House Medical Unit" since 2012. His most recent publication in 2023 focused on the “early stages” of Parkinson's disease.

Former White House physician Dr. Ronny Jackson commented on the meeting, suggesting a high possibility that the discussion centered on President Biden's health.

“It’s highly likely they were talking about Biden,” Jackson told the Post. “He should only be [regularly] treating the president and the first family.”

Dr. O’Connor, who has been Biden’s official physician since he took office, gave Biden a clean bill of health during his annual physical last February. The examination included a neurological assessment that specifically ruled out Parkinson's disease.

In the past, O’Connor has emphasized the importance of his role in supporting Biden's daily health, including regular verbal check-ins every morning. Following the presidential debate, O’Connor said he had a “verbal check-in” with the president, whom the White House claimed had a poor performance due to a cold.

Jackson alleged that O’Connor might be involved in a cover-up along with Biden's family regarding the president's cognitive health decline.

“I believe he and Jill Biden have led the cover-up. Kevin O’Connor is like a son to Jill Biden — she loves him. It’s crazy. Kevin O’Connor was in that job on day one of the Biden administration because they knew they could trust Kevin to say and do anything that needed to be said or done and cover up whatever needed to be covered up. He is part of the Biden family,” Jackson said.

In response to the report, the White House clarified, “A wide variety of specialists from the Walter Reed system visit the White House complex to treat thousands of military personnel who work on the grounds.” The White House did, however, refuse to answer questions about who the medical experts met with at the White House.
