David Harbour, who played the Soviet super soldier Red Guardian in the Marvel film Black Widow, brought the character's ideological playbook to life when he said that he doesn't know how anyone "could disagree with socialist ideology."

During the interview published by The Guardian on July 3, he told the outlet: "I don't know that there's anyone who could disagree with socialist ideology."

"If you work at Starbucks and you make the coffee, then you should own it. You're the one making the coffee!" Harbour told the publication.

Harbour went on to admit that communism can be a lot like fascism due to its "implementation," but he believes communism could be different.

"The fact is that the implementation of these things has led to some of the deepest fascism in our society, so people assume that 'communism' means 'fascism' to a certain degree. That's a terrible thing," Harbour said.

Harbour, who previously achieved fame with his role in Stranger Things, likened his idea of a more "ideal" socialism to being back in kindergarten.

"The idea of a kindergarten-type society where we share things is my ideal society; as opposed to this world where we're hunting and killing and destroying for our own personal hoarding, our own personal greed," Harbour stated.
