US Central Command reported on Sunday morning that three US service members have been killed in action during Operation Epic Fury. It was reported further that additional service members have been wounded.

"As of 9:30 am ET, March 1, three U.S. service members have been killed in action and five are seriously wounded as part of Operation Epic Fury," Central Command stated.

"Several others sustained minor shrapnel injuries and concussions — and are in the process of being returned to duty. Major combat operations continue and our response effort is ongoing.

"The situation is fluid, so out of respect for the families, we will withhold additional information, including the identities of our fallen warriors, until 24 hours after next of kin have been notified."

The United States and Israel took action against Iran in the early hours of Saturday morning. Americans woke up to a message from President Donald Trump expressing the extent of the military action taken. This followed weeks of US build up near Iran and talks between the US and Iran over Iran's nuclear program. Iranians in exile were seen celebrating in the streets of their adopted cities.

By Sunday morning, it was clear that dozens of top Iranian military leaders had been killed, including the Ayatollah and much of his family along with IRGC leaders. The US is continuing to hit military targets as Iran lashes out, sending missiles across the region into Doha, Dubai, Qatar, Kuwait, Jordan, Bahrain and Israel.

Trump posted further that "Iran just stated that they are going to hit very hard today, harder than they have ever been hit before. They better not do that, however, because if they do, we will hit them with a force that has never been seen before!"
