Over 100,000 took to the streets in Toronto to celebrate on Saturday as the US and Israel launched strikes against the Iranian regime, killing the Ayatollah Ali Khamenei as well as dozens of other Iranian regime officials.

"Trump and Netanyahu! Thank you! Thank you!" the rallygoers cheered as news that Khamenei had been killed took place on Saturday. Many were waving Israeli as well as American flags.

MP Melissa Lantsman, the Conservative Party’s deputy leader, posted as she attended the rally in Toronto, "More than 100,000 of us stood together again, carrying a 47-year longing for freedom to a finish line in sight. Today, on the precipice of history, you rejoiced in the news of the death of Ayatollah Khamenei not just as an end to the murderous brutality and repression, but as the beginning of justice for a people who will soon reclaim a Free Iran."

"Conservatives stood with you from the beginning and today the people of Iran are finally on the cusp of what you never gave up on: Freedom. Here in Canada, we will do our part and demand the government protect our streets, defend our democracy, and finally expel regime operatives who have abused our generosity and intimidated our people."

"We will never be a sanctuary for tyranny. Security for Canada. Freedom for Iran. A New Day for the Free World," she added.

Many of those from the Iranian community who were present danced and chanted, “Moosh Ali, bye bye!”

"Moosh Ali" is a nickname given to the Ayatollah, meaning "Rat Ali." Some Iranians were seen driving up and down Yonge street honking horns and waving flags out their windows in celebration.

Iranians present for the celebration chanted, “This is the final battle! Pahlavi will return home!”

Some in attendance held signs, which stated, "Epic Fury Frees Iran #MIGA." The Department of War early on Saturday morning had announced that the name of the mission in Iran was "Operation Epic Fury."

Participants who spoke about the killing of the Ayatollah said that they are grateful for President Donald Trump as well as the military, and that it is not a war but a "rescue mission" for the people of Iran.
