The Daily Wire announced on Wednesday that the conservative news and media company founded by Ben Shapiro, Caleb Robinson, and Jeremy Boreing, has added tens of thousands of new paying subscribers, growing to an overall subscriber number of 890,000. Just three months ago in April, the company’s subscriber base hovered near 600,000 mark.

The company also announced the launch of DailyWire+, a platform that will host the company’s growing library of original video content that’s now an included Daily Wire subscriber benefit. The Daily Wire already has a book publishing company and produces approximately 250 pieces of content a day.

Daily Wire Kids, which will feature movies and shows geared toward children, and the outlet’s documentaries, will also be hosted on the platform.

The announcement came only weeks after the release of The Daily Wire’s latest original feature film Terror on the Praire starring the Gina Carano.

The company also announced Wednesday that DailyWire+ has signed a multi-year deal with psychologist, professor and author Jordan Peterson and will also handle the ad sales and distribution associated with The Jordan B. Peterson Podcast.

Peterson’s show will continue to be posted on a twice-weekly basis, with his existing podcast and video library housed on the platform and exclusive bonus content.

Boreing told Forbes before the announcement at a town hall event in Nashville, TN, "Over the next nine months, our entire infrastructure will be updated to create a state-of-the-art SVOD platform for our rapidly expanding content library. Our security will be enhanced, our subscription funnel will be enhanced, our streaming function will be enhanced, and most importantly, our user experience will be enhanced."

He added, "A news website making westerns is already a brand stretch, and no one wants The New York Times to present children’s entertainment. So, it’s time for something new. A new brand to house all of this new content. A new brand that is still The Daily Wire, but it’s also movies and documentaries and cartoons. It’s still The Daily Wire, but it’s not just political news and commentary shows — it’s sports and entertainment and philosophy. It’s still The Daily Wire, plus a whole lot more."
