The donation page for President Donald Trump's campaign went down shortly after the guilty verdict against him was read out in a New York City court room. The crash was due to a flood of donations coming in for the embattled former president as he faces a new hurdle in his attempt to retake the White House and serve a second term as US president.

"WinRed is down due to the overwhelming amount of support out there, all across America! Stay strong, and thank you. The site will be up and running again soon!" Dan Scavino shared.

The site was back up only a short time later but the support for Trump kept pouring in.

"WEBSITE IS BACK, LIVE!"

"WinRed just CRASHED because so many people are donating to Trump right now. The Democrats have NO IDEA what they’ve just started," Colorado's Rep. Lauren Boebert said.

Marco Rubio, who is on the shortlist for the VP spot on Trump's ticket, said "Don’t just get angry about this travesty, get even!"

Donald Trump Jr. said "Help us fight back against Biden's corrupt election interference plot. Stand with Trump to Make America Great Again!!!"

And donations came pouring in.

"I have just donated the maximum to Donald Trump," YouTube commentator Tim Pool said.

Clay Travis announced that "I have made a maximum individual donation to Donald Trump’s presidential campaign. I will be giving much more to others as well. I’d encourage you to join me in donating whatever you can afford to Trump’s campaign as well. The site is back up."
