Ontario Premier Doug Ford announced on Monday that students throughout the province would not be returning to school on April 6.

The April 6 day was first proposed as a two week extension to the Ontario March Break.

"We're taking this day by day. Do I believe and does the minister believe that April 6, kids are going back to school? The kids won't be going back to school April 6. We will be making sure that we give a proper time frame. But again, this is changing hour by hour, day by day. And I have all the confidence in the world in minister Lecce, and he will make the right decision."
