Fulton County Judge Scott McAfee ruled on Wednesday during a hearing in Atlanta that co-defendants Sidney Powell and Kenneth Chesebro will go to trial together on October 23. Both defendants have been charged for their alleged role in questioning the 2020 election results in Georgia. Trump is also charged and facing trial.
McAfee ruled that Cheseboro and Powell's defense attorneys had not yet attained the legal threshold required to separate themselves from one another, according to CNN.
Additionally, McAfee said that two protracted trials would jam up the court schedule and "inconvenience" the jury pool, according to the network.
