The DeKalb County Police Department has responded to seven bomb threats in Georgia. Additional bomb threats were seen at other counties on Tuesday as well. This comes in the final hours of polling in the state that close at 7 pm.

According to a press release from the county, police were set to perform bomb sweeps at five locations within DeKalb County and two outside the area. According the city's release, the precincts that were hit with the bomb threats that were in DeKalb County included: New Bethel AME Church, 8350 Rockbridge Rd., Lithonia; New Life Community Center, 3592 Flat Shoals Rd., Decatur; North DeKalb Senior Center, 3393 Malone Dr., Chamblee; Reid H. Cofer Library, 5234 Lavista Rd., Tucker; and Wesley Chapel Library, 2861 Wesley Chapel Rd., Decatur.

The two precincts outside the county were the Stonecrest (Old Sam’s Club), which is not an active polling location, as well as Salem Panola Library, 5137 Salem Road in Lithonia. "Every asset that we have will be deployed to ensure that every citizen who wants to vote will be given that opportunity and every vote cast will be counted,” DeKalb County CEO Michael Thurmond said of the situation.

Georgia is a key state that both candidates have funneled time and money into in an attempt to take the White House.
