New emails revealed by the National Pulse show that Hunter Biden successfully lobbied his father to appoint Eric Schwerin, the president of Rosemont Seneca Partners, a company that Hunter Biden founded, to a presidential commission. Schwerin ultimately received the position.

The emails were between Hunter Biden and Missy Owens, Joe Biden's niece. After it was announced that Schwerin had been appointed to the Commission for the Preservation of America’s Heritage Abroad, Owens asked Hunter Biden if this was "our Eric," which Biden confirmed was, in fact, the case.

Hunter Biden stated that Schwerin had been asking for the appointment since the day after Barack Obama was elected in 2008.

Owens responded to Hunter Biden by asking whether she or her mother, Valerie Biden Owens, could also receive an appointment from the Obama administration, stating that her mother needed the appointment more than she did, saying "it would be good for her."

About one year later, Biden Owens was appointed to be an Alternative Representative to the United Nations General Assembly on behalf of the United States.

The revelations come as part of a series of emails allegedly leaked from Hunter Biden's laptop. The laptop has been connected to an FBI money laundering probe and has been handed over to them for investigation.
