New details on the lone holdout juror in the Lindsay Clancy trial have been revealed, with Fugitive TV, who spoke to the juror, saying that the man is a Republican. The juror and his family have been in hiding due to Clancy fans and the media hounding them.
Fugitive TV said that in a phone interview with the holdout juror, he revealed that he is a Republican. “He’s a Republican. He is a black Republican. He has conservative views. He believes he might be getting targeted because of that, because the media and the reporters, as you could see, they kind of have left views.”
It was previously revealed by the juror’s brother that the holdout juror is part of a family of Catholic Haitian immigrants. The family has had to go into hiding.
The juror also told Fugitive TV that from the first day of deliberations, there were eight jurors who wanted to find Clancy not guilty by reason of insanity for the killings of her three children, while two wanted to find her guilty and two had not made up their minds. The holdout juror said “he felt like they,” meaning the eight jurors, “were activists.” He said the eight who wanted a not guilty verdict were trying to sway the four others to their side.
The holdout juror “said he knew that she was guilty because of the evidence that he saw. He said because of the evidence that was presented in court, he saidhe felt that she was not insane at the time and knew what she was doing,” Fugitive TV said.
Fugitive TV also revealed that the holdout juror had filed first for divorce from his wife after finding out she was not in the country illegally. He filed for divorce in September of 2021, prior to an incident publicized by local media in which the holdout juror was accused of committing domestic assault against his wife. The charge was later dropped.
Fugitive TV also revealed a letter that the holdout juror received in January of 2022 from immigration officials, which stated, “On April 1, 2021, you filed a Form I-130 petition for an alien relative with the US Citizenship and Immigration Services on behalf of … the beneficiary. You sought to classify the beneficiary as the spouse of a US citizen … After a thorough review of your petition and the record of evidence, we must inform you that we are denying your petition.”
