"Detectives believe the suspects were possibly burglarizing White’s vehicle, when he interrupted them," Austin Police said. The suspects fled the scene.
The Austin Police Department revealed on Tuesday that Jamie White, the InfoWars reporter pronounced dead at a local hospital after being found unresponsive in the parking lot of his apartment complex Sunday night, had interrupted the burglary of his vehicle leading up to the shooting.
In a press release, police said that officers responded to a shooting at the Chandelier Apartments at around 11:56 pm on Sunday night, where they found White "lying on the ground in the parking lot with apparent trauma to his body." He was pronounced dead at 12:19 am on Monday after being transported to a local hospital.
Police said that the initial investigation into White's killing found that he had been shot and killed in the parking lot of his apartment complex. "Detectives believe the suspects were possibly burglarizing White’s vehicle, when he interrupted them," Austin Police said. The suspects fled the scene.
In a statement, InfoWars’ Alex Jones said, "We are deeply saddened to inform you that InfoWars Reporter Jamie White was brutally murdered around midnight Sunday night due, in part, to the policies of the Soros Austin, TX DA Jose Garza. We pledge that Jamie’s tragic death will not be in vain, and those responsible for this senseless violence will be brought to justice. Jamie’s important work will be carried on through InfoWars, our readers, and our cherished listeners."
Police are urging anyone who has evidence related to the killing to submit it through their online portal or contact 512-974-TIPS. Anonymous tips can be made through the Capital Area Crime Stoppers Program or by calling 512-472-8477. A reward of up to $1,000 is being offered for information that leads to an arrest.
