Hopkins was previously banned over supposed "abuse and hateful conduct."
"Thank you [Elon Musk] And thank you to all the Twitter family who have brought Tommy & I back to @X," Hopkins posted on X after the reinstatement on Sunday. "Know this. You are not alone. We are many. And we are stronger together. The fight back for your freedom is on."
Hopkins previously received a permanent ban from then-Twitter in June 2020 over supposed "abuse and hateful conduct," reported the BBC.
She had over a million followers at the time, and had numerous of her posts shared by former President Donald Trump.
"Keeping Twitter safe is a top priority for us - abuse and hateful conduct have no place on our service and we will continue to take action when our rules are broken," Twitter said at the time.
Robinson was permanently banned from the platform in 2018 for similar reasons, as was covered by Insider. He had a reported 413,000 followers before his account was suspended.
Twitter would not say what exactly prompted Robinson's ban, per a report by The Guardian at the time.
Robinson told the outlet that he had been censored for making a post that said, "Islam promotes killing people."
An excerpt from Twitter's policy on "hateful conduct" at the time notably argued that "Freedom of expression means little if voices are silenced because people are afraid to speak up."
Hopkins' account is now sitting at around 940K followers since its restoration on Sunday.
A Twitter post she made in June 2020 appeared to show that she was inexplicably removed from her blue checkmark that is used to verify the authenticity of an account. This was shortly before she received the permanent ban from the social media giant.
Hopkins referred to the disappearance of the blue checkmark as a "Twitter punishment for [her] hitting 1.1 million followers."
This is a breaking story and will be updated.
