BREAKING: Ontario pastor charged with hosting 'illegal' drive-in worship service

The pastor was charged for hosting this illegal service in Aylmer, Ontario, Canada.

A pastor was charged for hosting a "illegal" drive-in worship service in Aylmer, Ontario, Canada. This incident occurred on Sunday when Officers issued this charge to the pastor, outside the service.

This is not the first occurrence of a such a charge, as another Ontario pastor was charged $100,000 for holding a worship service. This same pastor may face jail time as well.

Pastor Henry Hildebrandt is the pastor of the Church of God in Aylmer. He said in a tweet, "This is where we are in Canada. Ticketing churches and their representatives while the airports and big box stores are packed."

The Aylmer Police responded to the incident with a press release. "Officers attended this location and found that a contravention of the continued emergency order was taking place and as a result, a summons was issued to a 37 yr old male for the charge of host an event exceeding number permitted under continued section 7.0.2 order, in addition a summons is to be served on the Church organization. These summonses are returnable to a court date later in January 2021."
