The three US soldiers killed in a drone strike on a Jordan outpost have been identified as Specialist Kennedy Ladon Sanders, Sergeant William Jerome Rivers, and Specialist Breonna Alexsondria Moffett, all of Georgia.

In a Facebook post, the City of Waycross wrote, "The City is deeply saddened to hear of the passing of Kennedy Ladon Sanders, who gave her life in service to our country. We offer our heartfelt condolences to her family and friends during this difficult time. In honor of her sacrifice, the City has lowered our flags to half-mast today. We are also working on additional ways to pay tribute to Kennedy and her service."

"Our thoughts and prayers are with her loved ones as they mourn this tremendous loss," the post added.

In another post, Sanders’ relatives wrote, "Our family would like to thank you for the respect given to Kennedy. Munchkin will be missed by many," according to The Messenger.

The Sunday attack on Tower 22, located in Jordan near the Syrian border, resulted in the deaths of 3 US soldiers and dozens of injuries. US officials have stated that the enemy drone approached the outpost at the same time as a US drone.

The mother of Moffett wrote, "This is one of the saddest days of my life. With a heavy heart I have to say that my Angel my first born has going on to be with GOD today. The pain will never go away and my life is forever changed.  I  will never get to cook your favorite food, we will never get to talk on the phone and I will never see you walk through my front door again.  Breonna [was] killed this morning. Just know that a piece of my heart and soul will always be missing. Love you Baby Girl. Rest Easy. Always will be my first born."
