BREAKING: President Trump BLASTS NY judge, AG Letitia James outside of court: 'This is called election interference'

The allegation is that Trump exaggerated his net worth, borrowed money on the basis of those figures, and then paid the money back in full.

During a lunch break in the civil trial against The Trump Organization in New York, former President and 2024 Republican frontrunner Donald Trump spoke to reporters.

"When you have a radical left Attorney General like Letitia James, who got elected on the fact that’s she’s going to ‘take down President Trump,’" he said. "We have others likewise. Take a look at Georgia. Take a look at Jack Smith... This is called election interference."

He also slammed Judge Engoron for having "already made up his mind."

"We're going to be here for months with a judge that's already made up his mind," Trump said, "it's ridiculous. He's a Democrat judge, he's an operative, and it's ridiculous. Other than that, things went very well."

In a summary judgment last week, Engoron said, "A discrepancy of this order of magnitude, by a real estate developer sizing up his own living space of decades, can only be considered fraud." Engoron canceled the business certificates for many of Trump's businesses, which are required to do business in New York state. Attorney General Letitia James' goal is to put Trump, and the Trump Organization, out of business in New York state.

On Truth Social, he posted a mashup of all the times New York AG Letitia James threatened to sue him. He said it's "a continuation of the greatest witch hunt of all time."

Rep. Jim Jordan (R-OH) called the entire thing a "sham," noting that the prosecution's case rests on the testimony of convicted felon Michael Cohen, who served time for lying to Congress about Trump's real estate holdings and plans.

"For years, Donald Trump falsely inflated his net worth to enrich himself and cheat the system," James said in a statement ahead of the trial. "We won the foundation of our case last week and proved that his purported net worth has long been rooted in incredible fraud. In this country, there are consequences for this type of persistent fraud, and we look forward to demonstrating the full extent of his fraud and illegality during trial. No matter how rich or powerful you are, there are not two sets of laws for people in this country. The rule of law must apply equally to everyone, and it is my responsibility to make sure that it does."

"The crime is against me, because we have a corrupt district attorney but we have a corrupt attorney general," Trump said prior to the trial. "And it all comes down from the DOJ that totally coordinated this in Washington because I'm leading I'm the leading candidate and I'm leading Biden by 10 points. And I'm leading the Republicans by 50 and 60 points, that's pretty much what they say over I never accept that but they say it's over. This has to do with election interference, plain and simple."

The allegation is that Trump exaggerated his net worth, borrowed money on the basis of those figures, and then paid the money back in full.
