The Prime Minister's Office (PMO) has confirmed that Prime Minister Justin Trudeau will be accepting the invitation to appear at the Finance Committee, as Bill Morneau did today, over the WE Charity scandal that has tormented the Liberal Party for weeks now.

A date and time for the committee meeting will be announced shortly.

Earlier today, Finance Minister Bill Morneau testified to the Committee on Finance, revealing that he wrote the WE Charity a cheque for $41,366 to reimburse expenses from family vacations to both Kenya and Ecuador.

The payment was made just a day before Morneau was to testify to the committee.
