"Mr. Trump has the right to be present here. That right can be forfeited and it can be forfeited if he is disruptive."
During the defamation trial brought forth by E. Jean Carroll on Wednesday in New York against Trump, the presiding judge threatened to throw 2024 GOP frontrunner Donald Trump from the New York court, to which Trump said, "I would love it."
US District Judge Lewis Kaplan told Trump before the court broke for lunch, "Mr. Trump has the right to be present here. That right can be forfeited and it can be forfeited if he is disruptive," according to The Messenger.
"Mr. Trump, I hope I don’t have to consider excluding you from the trial. I understand you are probably very eager for me to do that," Kaplan added.
"I would love it. I would love it," Trump responded, waving his hands.
Kaplan responded, "I know you would because you just can’t control yourself in this circumstance."
Trump said in response, "You can’t either."
The threat came after Carroll’s attorney, Shawn Crowley, had raised issue with Trump speaking loudly, potentially loud enough to be heard by the jury.
During the trial, Carroll said that George Conway had convinced her to sue Trump after a meeting that took place at a party hosted by columnist Molly Jong-Fast, according to the National Pulse.
Carroll also said under questioning by her counsel that she did on multiple TV and podcast interviews on her allegations of rape against Trump, adding, "I saw that the book was not selling, so I tried to talk about it."
Carroll is seeking more than $10 million in damages, which is in addition to the $5 million the jury ordered Trump pay last spring.
