"We are hereby reversing the concessions that Crooked Joe Biden gave to Nicolás Maduro, of Venezuela, on the oil transaction agreement, dated November 26, 2022."
President Donald Trump announced that he is revoking concessions made by former President Joe Biden to Venezuelan leader Nicolás Maduro under a 2022 oil transaction agreement. The decision comes as the country has reportedly failed to take in deported Venezuelan nationals from the US at the “rapid pace that they had agreed to.”
“We are hereby reversing the concessions that Crooked Joe Biden gave to Nicolás Maduro, of Venezuela, on the oil transaction agreement, dated November 26, 2022, and also having to do with Electoral conditions within Venezuela, which have not been met by the Maduro regime,” Trump said in a post on Truth Social.
Trump cited concerns over Venezuela’s failure to swiftly transport deported criminals that had traveled to the United States back to their home country, accusing the regime of not meeting its commitments.
“Additionally, the regime has not been transporting the violent criminals that they sent into our Country (the Good Ole’ USA) back to Venezuela at the rapid pace that they had agreed to,” he stated. “I am therefore ordering that the ineffective and unmet Biden ‘Concession Agreement’ be terminated as of the March 1st option to renew. Thank you for your attention to this matter!”
