President Donald Trump has spoken out unequivocally against the Biden administration's promise to send cluster bombs to Ukraine, saying that peace must be the driving factor in US engagement in the war, and not escalation.

"Joe Biden should not be dragging us further toward World War III by sending cluster munitions to Ukraine," Trump said in a statement, "he should be trying to END the war and stop the horrific death and destruction being caused by an incompetent administration.

"These unexploded cluster munitions will be killing and maiming innocent Ukrainian men, women, and children for decades to come, long after the war—we pray—has ended," Trump said. In February 2022, the Biden administration said unequivocally that Russia's use of cluster bombs was a "war crime."

Now, the US is sending cluster bombs to Ukraine. When asked about this, Biden said outright that it was because Ukraine was running out of ammunition. The administration claimed that since Russia was using them, and the "dud rate" of the US-made munitions was lower, it really wasn't so bad.

The "dud rate" means how many ordinance, or bomblets that are released by the cluster bombs, do not explode on impact but essentially turn into land mines, laying in wait for unsuspecting civilians to happen upon them and be blown to bits.

"If, as Biden inadvertently admitted," Trump continued, "the reason for sending cluster bombs now is that the United States is 'running out of ammunition' (a great breach of classified information), that only further emphasizes the urgency of immediately deescalating this bloody, dangerous, and out of control conflict. It certainly means we should not be sending Ukraine our last stockpiles at a time when our own arsenals, according to Crooked Joe Biden, are so perilously diminished."

Trump has said numerous times that were he still in office, Russia would not have taken the liberty of invading Ukraine. He's also said that he would be able to bring an end to the war upon taking office. It has been a campaign promise he has repeated again and again.

"There could be no more vivid proof that Joe Biden’s policy of endless war in Ukraine has tremendously weakened the United States than the humiliating admission that the USA is now out of ammo, something our enemies are undoubtedly salivating over. This 'admitted' weakness is an invitation to enemies all over the world. Joe Biden is needlessly and dangerously leading us into World War III, which would be a nightmare beyond imagination—obliteration!" he said.

"We must stop this insanity," he said in conclusion, "immediately end the bloodshed in Ukraine, and return to a focus on America’s vital interests. Most importantly, we must completely rebuild our depleted military so it is once again so strong—like it was just 3 years ago when I rebuilt it—that no nation would even think of threatening our people. We must have 'PEACE THROUGH STRENGTH' and in a short time, the Presidential election of 2024 will produce that result."

Biden is currently in Europe meeting with NATO. The group has roundly rejected Ukraine's bid to join the treaty, as that would trigger Article 5 and require all nations in the alliance to rush in to defend Ukraine. This would put Europe, the US and Canada directly at war with Russia.
