Ottawa may be digging its heels deeper into the SNC-Lavalin scandal, as according to the Globe and Mail's Robert Fife, David Lemmeti the newly appointed Attorney General, made it clear that a settlement between the government and SNC was still possible.
Simply put it was a dumpster fire.
“Maybe that’s how the Kremlin works but it’s not how Ottawa’s supposed to work,” he said on the CBC’s The Weekly.

If the Prime Minister, his party or his cabinet believe in what they preach regarding transparency, than they should openly welcome a public investigation into this matter.
It is unclear why a candidate’s position on a provincial matter such as education would be the reason behind disbanding them from participating in an open forum, especially since the issue at hand is climate change.
The federal director of public prosecution has ordered the court to reject SNC-Lavalin’s plea to avoid criminal proceedings.
Guy Saint-Pierre, former President, CEO, and chairman of the board of SNC-Lavalin, is listed as a donor on the LIberal Party’s 2015-2016 annual report.
