Celebrites openly defy Los Angeles mask mandates and social distancing at Grammys

While businesses and residents are threatened with having their power turned off for violations, the coronavirus is apparently not a concern at the Grammys or celebrity parties.

Celebrities attending the Grammy Awards Sunday night flaunted their bare faces and embraced for photo ops, even as Los Angeles County remainded under a mandatory mask mandate. Many of the music stars who flaunted the violations on prime time broadcasts, have encouraged mask wearing and social distancing throughout the pandemic.

A mask mandate is still active in Los Angeles county where the awards were held. Violators have been threatened with a $1,000 fine or up to six months in jail. While businesses and residents are threatened with having their power turned off for violations, the coronavirus is apparently not a concern at the Grammys or celebrity parties.

Los Angeles county restaurants can resume indoor dining on Monday, but the city is still targeting establishments that continued to operate in order to survive the pandemic.

According to Fox News, a Los Angeles County judge on Friday authorized the City of Burbank to cut off electricity to Tin Horn Flats and ordered the restaurant closed on Monday March 8.

The restaurant failed to comply and was given a 24 hour notice before having their electricity cut. The restaurant’s power was turned off on Saturday, the day before the Grammy Awards.

And yet, aside from conservatives, social media was largely silent in calling out the celebs who flaunted violating the mandates.
