CNN political reporter Daniel Dale essentially admitted he'll be fact-checking President Donald Trump more than Democrat nominee Joe Biden in the days before the election.

Fact-checking Presidential candidates or incumbents is not at all unusual, in fact, it's important, but typically a mainstream outlet such as CNN would approach fact-checking with an unbiased eye toward informing their audiences.

One CNN article Dale wrote following Trump's townhall appearance this week allegedly found "at least 22 false or misleading claims."

Conversely, a CNN article posted just Friday morning claimed that at his townhall, Joe Biden only "made a few errors and misleading statements on the drive-in stage."

While this could mean Trump fabricates more of his answers than Biden, it is more likely that Dale is not doing his job with regard to Biden's remarks. Dale's admittance that he will be vigorously fact-checking Trump more than Biden means CNN audiences will never know the truth.

If a respected, known CNN reporter with one million followers on Twitter is admitting blatant political bias, his social media followers and television viewers will undoubtedly receive just that.

It's one thing for outlets to admit a left or right of center political bias for one reason or another and to produce reporting and commentary with that premise intact.

But it's quite another for a large, mainstream outlet like CNN, which purports to produce straightforward, unbiased news—their taglines are "The most trusted name in news" and "facts first"—to admittedly attempt to skew election results by failing to equally fact check both nominees running for President.
