Conservative Shadow Minister for Jobs and Industry Pierre Poilievre and Conservative Shadow Minister for Ethics Michael Barrett released a statement on Wednesday addressing the revelations made from last week's House of Commons Ethics Committee summoning of Marc and Craig Kielburger.
The statement announces that the Conservatives are calling for Trudeau Advisor Ben Chin, PMO Policy Director Rick Thies, and Senior Policy Advisor at Finance Canada Amitpal Singh testify "regarding their roles in setting up the $500 million Canada Student Service Grant with WE Charity, an organization which paid roughly a half-million dollars to the Prime Minister's family."
During Friday's meeting, Poilievre caught the brothers red-handed when he asked what, if any, communication the Kielburger brothers had with Chin in setting up the $500 million grant.
"The Kielburgers testified at the Ethics Committee that Ben Chin, a Senior Advisor in the Prime Minister’s Office, had no role in setting up this program. However, documents released to the Finance Committee last summer prove otherwise:
When asked if senior Trudeau advisor Ben Chin played a role in shaping WE Charity’s summer program, Craig Kielburger denied the connection.

Pierre Poilievre then revealed that Kielburger had been in contact with Chin on LinkedIn.
