A man and woman walked into a store in a New Jersey mall and after being asked to adjust their face masks, they proceeded to assault the clerk who requested it, according to Raw Story.

The couple walked into the Zumiez in Ocean County Mall with their face masks hanging below their nose and mouth when an employee asked them to properly wear their masks.

Patch reported that the man became unhinged at the request. He picked up a belt that was for sale and snapped it at the employee before hitting her with it.

After the man had assaulted the employee, the woman spit on the clerk before the two fled the store, according to investigators.

Raw Story stated that though the couple was not found by law enforcement, the employee had managed to snap a photo of them.
