As the nation observers the two-year anniversary of "15 days to slow the spread," marking the beginning of widespread lockdowns and pandemic policies across the country, The Daily Wire has released a docuseries looking back at the failures of NIAID director Dr. Anthony Fauci during the COVID-19 pandemic and beyond.

730 days ago, former President Donald Trump declared a state of emergency nationwide in response to skyrocketing cases of COVID-19.

In the following days and weeks, states issued COVID-19 lockdown orders, some of which carried on until the fall. It was during these early days of the pandemic that many saw Fauci as a trusted source on how to not contract the virus.

In the post-lockdown era of the pandemic, the public has seen flip flopping guidance in regards to vaccines, masks, and social distancing.

While states continue to drop their masking and vaccine requirements, some leaders and public health experts warn once again of yet another COVID-19 variant that could force these pandemic precautions to go back into effect.

The outlet's three-part series, titled "Fauci Unmasked," "details exactly how Dr. Anthony Fauci rose to prominence and dissects Fauci’s repeated incompetence, beginning with AIDS and ending with COVID-19," according to The Daily Wire.

"It is no exaggeration to say that Dr. Fauci is the most powerful politician in America, which is itself the most powerful nation on earth. He’s the highest-paid employee of our federal government and the only person that the President of the United States has said he would not under any circumstances fire," said series host Michael Knowles, who hosts his own show with The Daily Wire.

"Over the past two years, he has completely upended our society, our civil liberties, and our way of life according to his whims, which have changed on a weekly and sometimes daily basis. And yet the public has known almost nothing about how this diminutive bureaucrat came to wield such enormous political power. Until now," Knowles said of Fauci.

"Fauci Unmasked" looks at failures Fauci made across a number of public health scares, including the fact he "Failed to effectively fight AIDS," "Failed to predict and report the proper severity of the bird flu and H1N1," "Failed to prepare for and research the Zika virus," and his most recent failures in containing and fighting the COVID-19 pandemic.

Despite the countless failures, "Fauci Unmasked" examines how his fame continued to grow, and how his department was able tor receive more money.

The first episode, which was released on March 16, looks at Fauci's rise to fame during the 1980s AIDS epidemic. "The public knows Fauci as the expert regarding 'the science' in response to the coronavirus pandemic. Few realize he was also the leading voice concerning the AIDS crisis in the 1980s, along with some disturbing results," The Daily Wire reported.

Other episodes will dive into his handling of the bird flu, H1N1, Zika, gain-of-function, and the COVID-19 pandemic. The final episode, available March 18, unmasks Fauci's mishandling of the COVID-19 pandemic from the beginning.
