“It was completely unhinged.”
Texas congressman Dan Crenshaw went off on United Airlines after an "unhinged" agent targeted his wife and mother-in-law who had grabbed their pet dog and personal property at the Houston airport terminal.
United Airlines attempted to deny the allegations but video evidence revealed the disturbing truth about the incident, which has Crenshaw claiming his dog was the victim of an assault.
Crenshaw explained that his wife and mother-in-law were traveling with two two small dogs and his 2-month old daughter when a United ticketing agent informed them that the dogs would not be allowed on the flight.
His wife accepted the request and walked away from the counter. She proceeded to make a phone call to Southwest Airlines to book a different flight that would allow her pets onboard the aircraft, video footage shows.
The "crazed unhinged" United ticketing agent approach his wife after she had walked away, according to the footage, and physically grabbed the dog after reaching into its carrier.
"The United agent wanted to take our dog out of the bag. She wanted to get the dog, photograph him and report my wife so they could never fly again," said Crenshaw in the video.
"It was completely unhinged. My wife said, 'No, of course not. You're not touching my dog. You already told us we can't fly so we're just going to leave.' And that's what they tried to do," he explained.
"You can see in the video they're trying to leave and that woman reaches inside my dog's bag and starts ripping things out of it. Out of her mind," said Crenshaw.
Upset about the incident, Crenshaw had a meeting with United Airlines VP of Operations Phillip Griffith to share his concerns.
Crenshaw recorded the conversation between he and Griffith, which revealed the Griffith tried to coverup the disturbing incident and had falsely claimed that his wife was a "handsy agitator."
During the meeting Phillip told Crenshaw, "I deal with people like you and your wife and customers like you every single day. And I treat them all the same. Let's go."
"Your wife was handsy. She was agitated from the very start," Griffith told Crenshaw who defended the agent and said she had acted "calm."
Griffith attempted to denounce Crenshaw's claims about the agent but video surveillance footage revealed his wife's account of her encounter with the United employee was truthful.
After Crenshaw was able to verify via video footage that his wife had been targeted, he got upset with Griffith and spit out a curse word.
Griffith then told Crenshaw to "shut up."
Crenshaw proceed to allege that he was then threatened by Griffith who told him, "I'm gonna end it. I don't give a care what you think you can do. I told you what's going to happen. This is about to come to an end."
The Texas congressman explained that this "situation escalated quickly" and it didn't have to be this way.
"I have a message for United Airlines CEO Scott Kirby. I want to know if it's United policy for your agents to grab passengers' pets and property," said Crenshaw in the video.
After the congressman shared the incident to his X account, individuals shared support as well as their personal past negative encounters with United.
Human Events senior editor Jack Posobiec weighed in and said: "If United is willing to do this to a Congressman and his family, imagine what they're willing to do to you."
Additionally, journalist and Fox News contributor Sara Carter shared a horrifying incident surrounding the alleged mistreatment of her blind veteran husband by United Airlines.

Carter explained that United had treated her husband as if he was "mental" and refused to talk to him because he had a "disability."
"Wow watching the Crenshaw video brings back so many memories of that horrific flight going to our anniversary vacation - I’m glad Dan spoke up because frankly the some of the airline employee #FlightBullies treat paying customers is unbelievable," said Carter on X.
Canadian psychologist Dr. Jordan Peterson weighed in and said: "Hey @united. I don't know if you've figured it out yet, but your drag-queen-headed careless and self-righteous corporation is about to have a quarter (or two) that will make you wish you were @budlight or @Disney."
This comes after recent reports revealed that United CEO Scott Kirby is a drag queen is his spare time, and pushes diversity, equity, and inclusion policies on his employees. This also follows concerns that have been raised over the past month over reports that revealed the airline is prioritizing diversity hiring over safety.
Congressman Crenshaw said that he will be introducing legislation surrounding the Airline industry and its treatment of customers in the future.
