Hollywood News outlet Deadline apologized to readers on Thursday evening after accidentally running a draft of a story that claimed that Vice President Mike Pence had tested positive for coronavirus.

"A draft post of a story about Vice President Mike Pence testing positive for coronavirus that was never meant to publish was accidentally posted on Deadline Apologies to the Vice President and our readers," the outlet tweeted.

A now-deleted tweet from Deadline read: "PREP. DO NOT PUBLISH UNTIL THE NEWS CROSSES. Vice President Mike Pence Tests Positive For Coronavirus 8 Days After Donald Trump."

House Speaker Nancy Pelosi teased reporters on Thursday that she would be discussing the 25th Amendment on Thursday. In the event that Pence and Trump were found to be "unfit to serve," Pelosi would be next in line to lead.
