Dem Rep. Maxwell Frost claims upward mobility is dead in America—he went from driving Uber to representing Florida in Congress

Far-left Rep. Maxwell Frost appeared on Jubilee to debate the American Dream with a crowd of those in the Baby Boomer generation. During the debate, he claimed that Boomers "lived the American Dream" but that "Gen Z can only read about it," essentially saying that it is dead for younger Americans.

Frost defined the American Dream as that people "can work hard, you play by the rules, and you'll be able to have success" and then defined success as being able to have "upward mobility and being able to build wealth."

Frost was debating Geno Bisconte, a comedian and podcast host, when the lawmaker ironically argued that the American Dream is out of reach for young people, while he himself is living it.

Bisconte argued that every generation has had the same American Dream and that it is still attainable for younger generations including Gen Z, and said that people like Frost "go after billionaires" noting that politicians like him just throw tantrums about people having a lot of wealth and living out the American Dream.

Frost blamed high prices in the country on the "corrupt political system that has been shaped by the wealthiest people." Frost said that when he launched his campaign he "had to hustle and make ends meet" to get where he is.

Bisconte responded, "That's the American Dream, you lived it."

The Democrat lawmaker interjected and said, "No, it's not."

"How is it not?" Bisconte replied.

"The American dream isn't driving Uber to barely make ends meet. The American dream is upward mobility and being able to have success," Frost argued.

Bisconte replied, "You went from driving Uber to being a politician. Is that not upward? What am I missing?"

Frost went on to argue that he is just one person and that the "majority of my generation is struggling and having a hard time to just survive."
