According to CTV News, a construction crane has just collapsed in the downtown Toronto area, to be precise, at the busy intersection of Dundas St. and River Ave.

No serious injuries have been reported, although paramedics have arrived at the scene to treat two people. Police are at the scene and have cordoned off the area.

If you are driving or walking in the vicinity, please avoid that particular intersection, and the surrounding blocks. There are numerous reports of stalled traffic and road closured in the area, as well as power outages affecting traffic lights, businesses and residences.

At this time, the reason behind the accident is unknown. The Ministry of Labour has been notified and is expected to respond shortly.

This is a developing story and will be updated as new information becomes available.
