On Tuesday, Elon Musk warned that unless the Biden administration takes action to crack down on the crisis at the southern border, the United States will be on a path toward destruction.

He suggested that allowing an unlimited number of illegal immigrants to enter the country virtually unchecked will "kill America."

"Open borders will kill America," Musk wrote in a post on X responding to Texas Governor Greg Abbott's condemnation of the federal government's response to the crisis.

"Texas has transported over 100,000 migrants to sanctuary cities to relieve overwhelmed border towns," the governor wrote. "Until Biden reverses course on his open border policies, Texas will continue transporting migrants to these cities. We will not back down on our efforts to secure the border."

This is far from the first time Musk has voiced his concerns about the unprecedented number of people entering the country illegally.

On January 4, he posted a graph showing how the numbers have increased dramatically since Biden took office in 2020.

"At this point, there is no question that this administration is actively facilitating illegal immigration," he added.

Musk went on to decry the fact that "while it is trivial to enter the United States illegally, it is insanely difficult for legal immigrants to move to the United States," arguing that the former should be "shut down" and the latter "greatly increase[d]."

Two days later, he suggested that the Biden administration was "actively aiding and abetting illegal immigration, because they are viewed as future voters."

Shortly after responding to Abbott on Tuesday, Musk reacted to news that due to a lack of space in New York City, migrants would be sleeping in a school, causing classes to be cancelled the next day.

"This is what happens when you run out of hotel rooms," he wrote. "Soon, cities will run out of schools to vacate. Then they will come for your homes."

Data recently released by CBP has revealed that there have been over 2 million illegal crossings within the past year.
