On Monday morning, social media users all over the world noticed that Facebook, Instagram, and WhatsApp are all down at the same time.

The three platforms with their respective apps have been for some time now owned by Facebook Inc, and have all gone down together previously on April 14, 2019. Starting just past 11:00 am EST, users started reporting outages of the three services on websites such as Downdetector.com.

The above data shows reports of outages and likely represents just a small fraction of the users actually affected by the outages. At the time of publication, the exact number of people who are affected is not known, but it appears to be a widespread problem affecting a majority of users.

Facebook has acknowledged the outage on its Twitter account, saying: "We're aware that some people are having trouble accessing our apps and products. We're working to get things back to normal as quickly as possible, and we apologize for any inconvenience."

As of the time of this writing, roughly 1:00 pm EST, all three platforms are still down for many users all over the globe.
