The federal court will hear arguments on Wednesday surrounding four military members who will be fired if they do not take the vaccine, according to CP24.
These military members oppose the vaccine for varying reasons. One member, for instance, opposes it on religious grounds. Another opposes the vaccine as he does not believe it to be safe.
The Canadian military ordered all soldiers to take the vaccine after Trudeau mandated vaccines for all federal government employees.
"I do not have the confidence in the government's declaration that they are safe and effective," said one soldier.
"More specifically, I do not believe the trials have accurately discovered and assessed all potential long-term effects of the vaccines," they added.
There are supposed to be religious and other exemptions for the vaccine, but these soldiers had their requests rejected.
Having said this, the military will re-employ those who then decide to get vaccinated.
"At any point during the process, members can change their mind and get vaccinated, at which time the member becomes compliant with the CDS directive and the conclusion of remedial measures should be considered," said a military statement.
The deadline for getting vaccinated is still December 18.
