Five previously deported Mexican nationals, now facing charges ranging from child molestation and rape to burglary and assault, have been indicted in Eastern Washington for Illegally Re-Entering the United States After Deportation.

The US Attorney’s Office announced the indictments this week, stressing that all five defendants have prior criminal records and histories of deportation, yet returned to the country illegally. Prosecutors emphasized that illegal re-entry is a federal crime separate from civil immigration enforcement.

Pablo Carmona-Carmona, 47, was deported twice. He was arrested in Yakima in October 2024 on charges of first- and second-degree child molestation. He also had previously been convicted of DUI in California.

Alfredo Ventura-Gutierrez, 48 (aka “Jose Ventura Dias”) was also deported twice. He was arrested in Wapato in August 2024 on charges of second and third-degree rape and repeated violations of a protection order. Prior convictions include felony domestic violence, restraining order violations, DUI, and illegal entry.

Rodolfo Cortes-Sorroza, 38, was previously deported twice. He was arrested in Klickitat County in July 2025 on burglary and failure-to-appear warrants. Prior convictions include assault, burglary, and illegal re-entry.

Carlos Antonio Moran-Arce, 52, was deported twice and arrested in Yakima in April 2025 on charges of hit-and-run and harassment with death threats. Prior convictions include theft, battery, and illegal re-entry.

Raul Partida-Farias, 50, had been deported once. He is facing Benton County charges of DUI and possession of a stolen vehicle. Prior convictions include assault and unlawful possession of a firearm by an alien.

The US Attorney’s Office for Eastern Washington said in a statement, “These indictments reflect our commitment to protecting the public from individuals who use their unlawful presence in the United States to commit further crimes.” Prosecutors added that charging repeat offenders with illegal re-entry both protects national security and deters future violations.
