Democrat House Speaker Nancy Pelosi is drawing some criticism on social media after lambasting President Trump for suggesting the election was stolen, while she herself has previously made similar statements.
Digging up old tweets has long been a trend on Twitter, and that's yet to change any time soon. In this case, Pelosi claimed the election was "hijacked" by Russia.
Many are pointing out the hypocrisy of claiming Trump's election concerns are conspiracy theories, while the same individuals bought into the Russian collusion narrative. The allegations of Russian involvement in the 2016 election have since been debunked.
Although the election has now been called by major news networks, official results have yet to be tabulated and the Trump legal team is continuing to litigate in various battleground states. It remains to be seen whether Trump lawyers can provide enough evidence to prove voter fraud, and what outcome that would necessitate.
Nonetheless, partisan narratives continue to propagate both Washington DC, and social media.
