A Facebook post from a Broward school board member has revealed that a Florida elementary school took young children on a field trip to local gay bar that features a sexual innuendo-filled menu.

Sara Leonardi, a Broward County school board member for district three, wrote on Facebook on Wednesday that she was "SO honored" to be asked to chaperone for Wilton Manors Elementary.

"I was SO honored to be invited to chaperone Wilton Manors Elementary's field trip to the incredible Rosie's! The students and I had a fun walk over and learned a lot about our community! A huge than you to Rosie's Bar and Grill for hosting this special field trip every year!" Leonardi wrote.

Leonardi posted photos of the trip, which depicted young children sitting in the restaurant, with dozens on bottles of booze visible in the background.

Leonardi's post was shared in the Moms for Liberty - Broward County, FL Facebook group, where one person wrote: "I remember when school field trips were to Butterfly World, Bonnet House or the museum."

"School board member Sarah Leonardi accompanied Wilton Manors Elementary school on a field trip to a LGBT bar", the post continued, noting the sexually suggestive pun-filled items on Rosie's menu such as Naked Sweaty Lovin', Rhoda Cowboy, Ivana Hooker, Young Ranch Hand, and The Left One: 'Cause sometimes the left ones are bigger.

Rosie's describes itself as a "tropical oasis" for LGBTQ+ people and allies.

Florida Governor Ron DeSantis' press secretary Christina Pushaw posted about the incident on Twitter Thursday morning, writing "Broward School Board member takes little kids to a gay bar on a field trip, forcing them to wear masks 'to keep them safe.'"

In the photos, all kids and most of the staff were wearing masks, even outdoors, while workers at Rosie's did not wear masks.

Neither Broward school board members nor Leonardi immediately responded to a request for comment.
