Leftist TikTokers mock Charlie Kirk killing, make 'playlists' and 'baskets' for 'Kirkaversary'

Leftists online have been celebrating ahead of the 1-year-anniversary of Charlie Kirk's assassination, with some of them dubbing it the "Kirkiversary" or "Kirkaversary" of when the political commentator and Turning Point USA founder was shot to death at Utah Valley University. 

On social media platforms such as Reddit, X, TikTok, and others, posts with the term "Kirkaversary" as well as others similar to it have been flooding the platforms. Google trends for the term have skyrocketed and far-left radicals have been reveling in the fact that he was killed nearly one year ago. 

"Evan loves worf," a radical left-wing account on X, posted an AI-generated video of Kirk that mocked his assassination. Far-left media pundit Taylor Lorenz, although she did not use the term "Kirkaversary," shared a post from Kirk that he wrote in 2014 which said, "Did I just get shot by an AR-15? Feels like it." 



Others have shared a video that depicted Hunter Kozak, a progressive student at UVU, reacting to the shooting of Kirk when it took place. Kozak had been asking Kirk a question when the shot was fired. Leftists online have recently started using the video to respond to breaking news. Kozak wrote in response: "Hey! This video is of me. Sorry to put a damper on the funny little meme campaign that we have about a man dying but just want to share that I went to a carnival today to celebrate my daughter’s birthday and I had a persistent thought like ten times about someone shooting the place up. I know I have PTSD and I shouldn’t rewatch these videos but for a year now they’ve been inescapable on the internet, simply because people find it funny. Like seriously, look at the f*cking context that this is in response to. It’s sick. You guys have something broken inside you to use this video as a response in the way you did."

One woman posted a video to TikTok of her dancing to her "playlist" that she said she made in preparation for her "kirkaversary party."

Another far-left woman posted a TikTok where she made a "Kirkaversary basket" that included "Charlie's blood," an "aborted fetus," as well as "toy guys." 



Another woman, a tattoo artist in Portland, was reported on by Libs of TikTok after she was offering a "Kirkiversary special" to get tattoos on the exact same spot on people's necks as where Kirk had been shot. 

Others on the left, as well as some on the right who are fans of Candace Owens, have also taken aim at Erika Kirk as the anniversary of the assassination has approached. 

Erika Kirk, however, in the days leading up to the anniversary of her husband's death, wrote an op-ed in the New York Times about the grief she has dealt with over the last year. "Grief is strange. Time continues even when every part of you wants it to pause or, better yet, rewind. But the people we love who have passed on would not want us to spend the rest of our lives trying to rewind. At first, I needed to survive the next 15 minutes. Over time, I’ve realized that Charlie would want me to live them," she wrote. 

Tyler Robinson, the man who has been charged with murdering Charlie Kirk, faces the death penalty in Utah if convicted.
