Fulton County DA Fani Willis has been "permanently disqualified from prosecuting the indictment that she brought against President Trump," said attorney Jeff Clark. Clark shard the order that was passed by the Supreme Court of Georgia, which reads that "the Supreme Court today denied the petition for certiorari in these cases."

Willis brought a RICO case against President Donald Trump and 19 others, claiming that his campaign itself was a criminal organization. Clark clarified that if they chose to continue the case, it would have to move to another county DA.

When asked at the White House about the case and the disqualification of the DA who targeted him and dragged him into a police office for booking, Trump said, "The court just ruled she was a disaster, she was a disaster with the boyfriend, the boyfriend that she paid a million dollars for his expertise but he never did it before.”

"She should be prosecuted—what she did to people, forget about me, what Fani Willis did to innocent people, patriots who love our country, what she did to them, by indicting them, destroying them, she should be put in jail. She's a criminal. Fani Willis is a criminal."

After Willis brought the case, it was revealed that there was a potential conflict of interest as she had hired attorney Nathan Wade, a man with whom she'd had an affair, to work on the case as a consultant. It was alleged that he had been paid a higher rate than other consultants.

There were also concerns that Wade had then paid for trips for both himself and Willis, meaning that she would have directly benefited from the wages she paid him to work on the Trump case. Trump's legal team brought a motion to have her removed from the case. A judge said either she or Wade would have to be removed.

She was disqualified but later sued and this determination means that under no circumstances can she continued with the case.
