Halifax police investigating home invasion and abduction—one man in custody

Police are investigating after a home invasion and abduction in Halifax on Wednesday.

Police are investigating after a home invasion and abduction in Halifax on Wednesday.

Police say they responded to a call after reports that a man was shot in his apartment. The 42-year-old man was abducted and allegedly had his vehicle stolen.

Police say the man was found and was brought to hospital to treat non-life threatening emails.

Police did not say how they tracked down the 42-year-old.

Police told Global News that as of now, there is no evidence that this crime is related to any others incidents.

"Investigators will continue to gather the evidence and follow all leads where it takes them," Const. John McLeod told Global News in an email.

Halifax police are asking anyone with information on the incident to call investigators at 902-490-5020 or to contact Crime Stoppers.
