El-Cheikh said he received "a lot of feedback from our teams from coast to coast" and that many schools were aware of the protest and "are trying to pull a fast one and do the flag-raising ceremony on the 4th or the 5th [of June]."
June, which is widely described as “Pride month” or even the beginning of “Pride season” in Canada and internationally to celebrate LGBTQ+ ideology, is now a time for schools to hoist the “Pride flag” and insist that all students join in. The organizer of the Million Person March for parental rights has urged parents opposed to woke indoctrination in Canada’s school system to pull their children from school as many schools across the nation raise the Pride flag.
The month should be renamed as "My Child June," Kamel El-Cheikh told The Post Millennial in an exclusive interview.
His Canada-wide and all-faith group, Hands Off Our Kids, told parents opposed to the flag-raising to keep their children home from school on Monday, June 3. But El-Cheikh said he received “a lot of feedback from our teams from coast to coast” and that many schools were aware of the protest and “are trying to pull a fast one and do the flag-raising ceremony on the 4th or the 5th [of June].”
That hasn’t deterred the concerned parents.
“We were anticipating that in our calculations,” El-Cheikh says, noting that the solution is “for parents to be proactive on that one. If you took the day off for the 3rd and they're gonna do the flag raising ceremony for the 4th or 5th” students should wear red and white clothing to school to honor the Canadian flag. “And then we tell parents to tell the school, ‘let me know when you're doing the flag raising so we can opt out.’
“We're asking grandparents to babysit if it's inconvenient for the parents.”
El-Cheikh wants to make the protest an annual event just like the Million Person March on Sept. 20. “Every year moving forward is going to be My Child June because Canada's children belong to Canada's parents.”
The Ottawa business and Muslim activist has again made this protest one that all faiths can participate in. “So we scheduled a nationwide walkout now … some organizations are scheduling a demonstration, some are probably doing a picnic – consult your local area organizations and what they're doing if you want to do anything further but the idea is we're going to completely boycott that day. Parents, take your kids out of school.” El-Cheikh encourages parents to write to their local school to explain why they took their children out of school for the day.
El-Cheikh says it’s time to stop celebrating contentious ideologies with controversial flags that divide children and parents.
“It's fine to have other flags, I have a sports flag for a hockey team. So it's fine to have a flag, but one flag that unites us all is the Canadian flag.”
He says Hand Off Our Kids has other “surprises” to unveil during June to oppose the so-called Pride month but most of all he wants to applaud how “Christians and Muslims” and other faiths have come together to “celebrate and bring back Canadian family values.”
