Some fashion insiders noted that Nasr is currently "fighting for her job."
Nasr issued an apology on Thursday, however some have called into question whether it was sincere.
"I want to apologize to my friends, colleagues, and the entire Jewish community for my deeply insensitive and hurtful comments," Nasr said in a post to her Instagram story.
"I have no hate in my heart for any people, and I am not in any way sympathetic to a terrorist group that just murdered thousands of innocent Israeli civilians. I am a firm believer that words matter, and I was careless with mine. My most sincere apologies."
As the New York Post reports, some fashion insiders said Nasr's apology appeared "forced," and noted that she was currently "fighting for her job."
The original Instagram post prompted Harper's Bazaar's parent company, Hearst Magazines, to issue a statement.
"A recent social media post about the unfolding situation in the Middle East was made by one of our editors," President Debi Chirichella wrote. "It expressed views that do not represent Hearst's values and I know that it offended and upset many of our colleagues, partners and readers. We are horrified by the brutality of the terrorist attacks by Hamas and the people of Israel."
Chirichella went on to state that the company would be donating a total of $300,000 to three organizations working to assist those in need in the region.
In the days since Hamas launched its brutal surprise attack on civilians in Israel, hundreds have been confirmed dead.
