Hate crime charges have been filed in connection to the shocking racial brawl that sprung out at a Minnesota high school earlier this month, which resulted in multiple arrests and parents joining in on the clash.

The fight between black and Somali students resulted in St. Louis Park High School canceling classes.

Investigators have since been determined to figure out what sparked the fight, and new video evidence is slowly revealing the details that led up to the incident.

According to a criminal complaint, the mother of 16-year-old student, Latoys Milon, 41, began threatening Somali students when she went to complain to the principal on Jan. 18 that her daughter had been allegedly "jumped" by multiple female Somali students over personal issues, per KARE 11.

While expressing grievances to the assistant principal and St. Louis Park school officer Stanikka Alcantara, body camera footage captured Milon allegedly threatening students.

The alleged threats included Milon saying, "Ya’ll one of ‘em? Girl I swear to God all y’all finna get it!," “I’ll fight any Somali that comes down those stairs, bro," and “These Somalians think they running sh*t, but they met their match.”

The complaint states that Milon arrived to the school along with her son Jerome Smith, 19, and his sister Abreeha, 22.

The family, who are all black, allegedly started physically attacking Somali students outside the high school by choking, punching, and stomping on them, according to the complaint.

All three have been criminally charged with fourth-degree assault motivated by bias and third-degree riot, which are all misdemeanor charges.

Police were informed by one victim, who stated that he was confused as to why the group targeted him other than the fact that he was Somali, that he felt as if he were about to become unconscious due to the beating that he had received.

In regard to the claim by Milon's daughter that she had been "jumped" by the group of Somali's, surveillance video reportedly shows that she willingly entered the fight and threw punches herself.

Video of the incident posted on X shows chaos inside the school with multiple students fighting as school officials tried to break it up. It cuts to a separate fight outside the school between two groups.
